“Untitled (with pointe shoes)” is a very personal project. I inspired stories of ballerinas from Russia. More of them ‘was thrown out’ from the profession because of different reasons. The most popular is age. While I’m dancing I’m burning out. The project contains two pieces - an installation Untitled (2018) and photo triptych Burnouting (2018). The installation is a massive composition of embers, dirty bandages and pointe shoes with a video projection. Video projection reflects on plastic elements and forms hourglass. You are dancing, then you are being treated, then you burn out in a dance world like photos in the triptych.
